Saturdays can be so rough!

I think that Saturdays can be rough because it is like a celebration every week. "Woohoo, we don't have to work! What are we going to do with our day?" So, then my H and I plan fun things. The problem is that fun times can usually equal lots of food. I am trying to plan in advance. I have had a good amount of points today so that I don't overdo it at dinner.

3 pt breakfast idea for you all:
Pepperidge Farm 100% Whole Wheat english muffin (2 pts)
1 t peanut butter (1 pt)
1/2 t honey (0 pts)

For lunch, I made a "ready in minutes" type frozen family meal. It was from Kroger. I decided against using the sauce that came with the ingredients b/c it looked high in pts (aka buttery). I just used evoo. It had linguine, shrimp, tomato, and brocolli. It was OK.

Dinner will be at Arni's. I don't think those are national, though. In fact, I am sure of it. It's a pizza place, but they have awesome salads. It's where I learned to love salad. Mostly because the salads all have tons of cheese and the blue cheese dressing is wonderful! I am, however, going to opt for the fat-free French instead. Hopefully, it will still be good. I am going to order the cheese, ham, and turkey on the side so that I can control the amount.

Then, H wants to go to Ritter's (another local place) for frozen custard since we have coupons. The dreaded coupons! How can we pass up cheap treats? So, I am going to get the sugar-free ice cream with strawberries and only eat 1/2 cup.

If I keep to this plan for this evening, then I will not go over my points. I like to eat my daily points, but I try not to use the AP very much.

Oh, and another thing about my day (you are fascinated, I know): I woke up and went to my ultra-cool Piloga class this morning, only to find it had been canceled. Boo! Instead of sulking home, I worked out by myself. I had a 40 min workout. I would go back and forth between weights and cardio so that I could keep my heartrate up. I feel good after working out.

Wish me luck with leaving the LO for a whole night with the in-laws. I get to missing the LO if I'm away too long! It will be a great date night, though!

I think planning is a big part of being successful at this and it sounds like you have done just that! And enjoy your night out, everyone needs one of those once in a while! :)
